Gaahls Wyrd - The Humming Mountain album review

The Humming Mountain album by Gaahls Wyrd surpassed my expectations. I have been listening to this record a lot. This is by far my favorite release of all Gaahls Wyrd. This album is only about 29 minutes but it is huge musically and very powerful when you listen. I have been listening to this record a lot during this past week and now it's time to write my own review to publish here at the metal music blog. **



There are only five songs in the "The Humming Mountain" album but I enjoy every single minute listening to it. If you compare it with other big metal bands releasing albums in 2021 I will say that Gaahls Wyrd surpassed my expectations with a very well-produced album musically and lyrically speaking.

In my opinion, the opening song is a very strong point of this new album. "The Seed" is a 9-minute song that is very well composed, full of details that keeps you listening again and again. Such a great start to this new record. The acoustic bit of the song gives you the right atmosphere to listen to this album entirely.

The acoustic guitar, the keyboards, and the vocals are perfectly connected and will keep your attention during the whole track. I believe that "The Seed" is the perfect opening song for this album which is very well composed with different variations with excellent instrumental and vocal.

After this excellent opening song, you will be definitely ready to start listening for this new Gaahls Wyrd record completely starting with the second track which is "The Humming Mountain". Now that you are in the right mood to listen for this, and enjoy this new very good job of Gaahls Wyrd.
