What loan term should I choose if given the choice?If you are given a choice of loan terms it is natural to lean towards the longest loan term as this will see you with the smallest monthly payments. It's important to note that you'll end up paying more back as a result, as you'll pay more interest as you'll have had the loan for a longer period of time. If you don't mind paying more interest for the financial comfort lower payments bring then a longer loan term could suit you but if you want to spend as little money as possible borrowing the money then choose the shortest loan term you can. |
