Copacabana Palace Hotel
The Copacabana Palace Hotel, located in Rio de Janeiro, is situated along the beautiful Copacabana beach. Consisting of three parts, the hotel offers a main building with 147 suites. The tower wing has 78 suites and the executive floor contains 7 penthouse suites and 26 rooms. Rooms have various price ranges, depending on the location within the hotel and the size of the suite. The prices can range from $240 a night all the way to $1250 a night.
Designed by Joseph Gire, a French architect, the hotel is stucco-fashioned. The actual structure was inspired by two other hotels. In addition to exquisite rooms and luxury suites, visitors to Rio can enjoy two fantastic restaurants that are located inside the hotel. The Pergula is located near the pool and is a great place to enjoy breakfast or a buffet lunch. The Cipriani Restaurant is in the lobby of the main hotel and offers a large election of Northern Italian cuisine.

Since the hotel was built, there have only been two owners. The initial owner was the Guinle family, lifelong residents of Rio, who owned the hotel from the time it was built in 1923 to when it was later bought by another owner. The hotel was later bought by Orient-Express Hotels in 1989.
Today, the hotel is known for being one of the most luxurious hotels in all of South America. It offers a large array of amenities, including a health club, spa, sauna, full fitness facility and an outdoor pool. The hotel is rated with five stars and is a popular location for many business meetings. With a large business center, plenty of conference rooms and a technology helpdesk, many large corporations conduct annual meetings at the hotel.
